MESH Sculpture Hamilton
Chartwell has been a supporter of MESH Sculpture, who work with artists to create public art for the city of Hamilton.
The projects have included Tongue of the Dog, by Michael Parekowhai, which was placed outside the Waikato Museum close to the Waikato River.
In 2019, Chartwell supported MESH's conception for Robert Jahnke’s Te Tatau Ki Kirikiriroa. It is constructed of corten steel; a gateway between the central city and the river, located at the top of the tiered garden to act as a tomokanga (gateway) inviting people to negotiate the multiple pathways in their engagement with the landscaped gardens and walkways.
