Richard Havyatt
Richard Havyatt is an Australian based artist. Born in Melbourne in 1945, Havyatt studied Architecture at Melbourne University and received no formal art training. In 1967 he held the first of eleven solo exhibitions in Melbourne between 1967 and 1990. He was awarded the Georges Young Painter Prize in 1966 and the Minnie Crouch Watercolour Prize in 1968 and 1969. Havyatt's work is represented in the collections of many major public and private collections throughout Australia, including the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.
