Georgie Hill

Georgie Hill is a New Zealand artist, who lives and works in Auckland. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts, The University of Auckland in 2001. Her work has been represented in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout New Zealand and internationally, including most recently at the Beijing Contemporary Art Fair, Bowerbank Ninow, Beijing, China (2019), in Residence Within A Prism, Bowerbank Ninow, Auckland (2019), Unseen, Unknown: Unveiled, Malcolm Smith Gallery, Auckland, Curated by Alice Tyler and Zoe Hoeberigs (group) (2018), and Fluid Structures, Parlour Projects, Hastings, curated by Francis McWhannell (group) (2017). In 2019 she was awarded the C Art Trust Award, and in 2011 the Olivia Spencer Bower Foundation Art Award (1 Year residency). Her work is held in private collections in New Zealand, Australia and China, and in public collections including The Chartwell Collection, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, and the University of Auckland Collection.
