Jeep, the artist's dog, has featured in much of Elliott's work. This work, above, is unique in that it is presented on a changing, battery operated screen so several images of Jeep are seen as you walk around the gallery.

Jeep was the subject of a raucous exhibition in 2004 at Vavasour Godkin Gallery, Auckland, when she was dressed in pearls and a number of outfits to be photographed by Lydia Elliott. For the opening function, gallery visitors were invited to bring their dogs along to be photographed as well. What greeted the visitor was a gallery packed with dogs and owners, all waiting their turn for the dogs to be dressed in tutus, pearls, pink bomber jackets etc and to 'sit' for the artist on a plush rug for the photography session. Jeep, of course, presided graciously over the whole affair.
